How it works

From job description to shortlist.

Six steps, and you are in control at every one of them. Nothing is searched until you say so.

  1. 01

    Paste any job description

Or drop in a .txt or .md file. Hirepup reads it into a requirement profile: the title and its common alternatives, seniority, must-have and nice-to-have skills, years of experience, locations and industries.

  2. 02

    Check what it understood

Anything it was unsure about is flagged for you. Move skills between must-have and nice-to-have, choose which requirements are hard filters, and set how much each part of the score matters. Then see roughly how many people match before you run the full search.

  3. 03

    Candidates stream in, scored

Each person is scored out of 100 across seven parts — skills, title, seniority, experience, location, company and industry, and career signals — with a bonus for people open to work. A final judgement on the strongest candidates can move a score by up to ten points, and says why.

  4. 04

    Every point, explained

Open anyone to see what each part of their score was based on: which skill matched and from which role, how their years were counted, where the judgement moved them.

  5. 05

    Teach it your taste

Mark someone not a fit and pick why — too junior, too senior, wrong skills, wrong location, job-hopper. The ranking adjusts at once, within safe bounds, and you can undo it. "More like this" works the other way.

  6. 06

    Shortlist and export

Move people from Shortlisted to Contacted, Replied and Sent to hiring manager, and keep notes as you go. Export exactly what you are looking at to CSV, or copy the LinkedIn links.

What Hirepup never does

  • Scores on name, photo, age, graduation year, gender, nationality, religion or marital status
  • Scrapes LinkedIn or automates anything on it
  • Contacts a candidate on your behalf
  • Rejects anyone: it ranks and explains, and you decide
