Privacy Policy

Hirepup is operated by Intracker, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect about the people who use Hirepup and about the candidates who appear in its search results, why, and the choices each has.

1. Whom this covers

Customers are the recruiters, hiring managers and founders who use Hirepup to find people for their roles. Candidates are the professionals whose profiles appear in those searches. Most of this policy applies to both; sections 2 and 3 say what we hold about each.

2. What we hold about customers

  • Your account: your email address, your workspace’s name and your role in it. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash, never in a form anyone can read. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account’s ID and email address, never your Google password or contacts.
  • Billing: payments are handled by Stripe. We keep which plan you are on and its status; we never see or store card numbers.
  • What you put into Hirepup: job descriptions, your notes and edits, your feedback on candidates, shortlists and the notes on them.
  • Usage: a record of the credits each search and check used, and technical logs (such as IP address and browser) kept for security and to fix problems.

3. What we hold about candidates

Candidate profiles come from a professional-data provider that licenses them to us. We never scrape LinkedIn and never automate anything on it. For each candidate a search returns, we may hold:

  • Name, headline and profile summary
  • Current and past job titles and employers, with their dates
  • Skills, education and certifications
  • General location, such as a city
  • The address of their public LinkedIn profile, and whether it says they are open to work

We do not provide candidates’ email addresses or phone numbers. We use this information only so that customers can find, compare and approach people for the roles they are hiring for.

What we never use to score anyone: name, photo, age, graduation year, gender, nationality, religion or marital status. Education is left out of scoring unless a customer chooses to include it.

4. How scores are worked out

Each candidate is scored against the role by fixed rules, and the strongest candidates also get an assessment from an AI model that can move the score by up to ten points and always says why. The AI models we use receive job descriptions and candidates’ professional text (headline, summary, roles and skills), never their names or photos, and none of the profile fields for age or location. Scores help customers decide whom to look at first; people make every decision about whom to contact or hire, and Hirepup never makes one on its own.

5. How we use information

  • To run Hirepup: parse job descriptions, search, score and explain candidates, and keep shortlists
  • To bill for plans and credits
  • To keep our customer records and get in touch about your account
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems
  • To answer support requests
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the product is used, so we can improve it

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

6. Who processes data for us

These companies process information on our behalf, only to provide the service:

Because some of these companies are outside your country, information may be processed in the United States and, for the AI analysis described above, in China.

7. How long we keep it

We keep customer account information while the account is open. Candidate profiles are kept with the search results and shortlists of the customer whose search found them, for as long as that customer’s account holds them; a profile more than 30 days old is fetched again before it is reused in a new search. When an account is closed we delete its information, except records we must keep by law, such as billing records. Technical logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the information we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, object to how it is used, or ask us to stop including you in search results. Candidates can ask us to remove them from Hirepup at any time. To make any request, email privacy@hirepup.ai with the address of your LinkedIn profile or the email you sign in with, so we can find you. We answer within 30 days, and we may ask you to confirm who you are first.

9. Cookies and browser storage

Hirepup uses no advertising or tracking cookies. The app keeps a sign-in token and your display preferences (such as light or dark theme) in your browser’s storage, so you stay signed in and the app looks the way you left it. If you use Google’s sign-in button or pay through Stripe, those services may set their own cookies under their own policies.

10. Security

Information travels encrypted, passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, and each workspace’s data is kept apart from every other workspace’s. No service is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

11. Children

Hirepup is a business tool for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information about children.

12. Changes and contact

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell customers by email or in the app if the change is significant. Questions or requests: privacy@hirepup.ai, or write to Intracker, Inc..
